i was wondering if u take the oring out of the front of the sniper bolt if it will make the pump stroke smoother because it doesnt rub up aginst the detent.

I would check and see first if removing the ring causes a drop in velocity, which would indicate a loss of efficiency.

Leave that o-ring in the bolt, it's there for a reason. w/o the o-ring my Sniper would not get above 250 fps and was very inconsistent. With the o-ring I was able to get up to 300.

The slide isn't much different with or without the o-ring so my advice is to just leave it in.

If you are worried about the pump stroke, why not remove the detents? I've played with several snipers and autocockers that have not had detents in them. Unless you are using a force fed loader, they aren't needed.

I use one detent in my empire sniper. Works great and cuts detent drag by 50%

I took off the front one only to save detents. Didn't effect effiency much helped the pump very minimal. But helps save detents alot.

Is there a spring return for the pump handle on the sniper? I don't have one so I wouldn't know. If there is one, you could replace it with a lighter spring.
