I started laughing when I got a handgun with a giant *** beta mag coming out the side of it.

then I shot a couple people in the face with it.

I'm balling hard on some borderlands right now. But I got a headache (probably from too much Awesome) but in sitting here playing and chuckling at the dialogue. It'd be a lot easier of I had a squad right now.

I'm on the brink of being an 11 in Sanctuary.

Things I've noticed so far:

-Even if you're "full" on ammo, you'll still pick up the ammo. I think it gives you money instead. Regardless, this is highly frustrating when playing with other people as valuable ammo gets wasted at the wrong times.

-Phase lock is WAYYY overpowered. You can phase people across the map. It's nuts.

-LOTS of bugs so far. When you get to the mission where you have to use an e-tech gun to kill bandits, make sure you actually use the gun on the ones that wave-spawn in on you. Otherwise you'll have to run around the map and kill level 13 bandits. Which sucks. Immensely.

-PLAY THE MOTHER ****ING SLOT MACHINES

-I don't know if it's different on the Xbox (or why) but I definitely can't pick up ammo when I'm full.

-Phase lock is awesome.I decided to go Siren, and I'm loving it. I'm going full Cataclysm and the upgrade that causes a fire explosion when you phase is cool. Especially since I found a class mod that amplifies the damage and chance to catch fire.

-Had the same problem with that mission, mainly because I couldn't find enough ammo.


So far I've found the game to be pretty easy. It might be because I've been using this bolt thrower pistol I got for doing the above mission that does 64x2 fire damage. I got it around lvl 8 and used constantly except when I ran into robot enemies. It absolutely destroys people. Even with most Badasses, I can phase lock them, empty a mag into them and they are dead before they hit the ground, or close enough that it's no thing.

Anyway, I'm coming off 9 hours straight at lvl 13. Funny thing is, I wasn't that big of a fan of the first Borderlands. I'm glad I decided to pre-order it yesterday on a whim. I haven't been this engrossed in a game since Skyrim first came out.

Read the paragraph above for the answer to the first part, and as far as what platform, I can't speak to the console versions, but the PC version is beautiful and I love the ability to cap frames without having to turn on Vsync. The PhysX fluid stuff on high looks a little weird though.

Isn't there a code you're suppose to put in somewhere on your receipt? At least if you got it from gamestop. I know Amazon is suppose to email me mine. No idea if you did a digital download.

I definitely can on PC. Holding E picks up all items around me, even if my ammo is full already. It is kind of annoying.

I'm on PC and was not able to with zero. Might be a character thing or something you picked up as a perk.

No idea on the creature dome. It's supposed to be later in the game. But I'm a solid 14 hours in right now and have yet to see it.

I'm a level 17 right now. And just a fair warning...those "buzzard" helicopters are busted as ****. SO god damn annoying in how glitchy they are. It makes them impossible to hit, and they're so strong. Plus they suicide dive at you. I'm raging so hard. I RAPE everything else. Shocking Nomadics are *******s too.

Siren is so badass. I'm always weary of choosing her at first, but then I always love it. I think I'm going to mostly invest in harmony and a little in cataclysm.

I'm glad I made myself broke this week to get it, instead of waiting. I was having tons of fun last night after work with it, trying the commando out. I think I will probably play as the siren again, though, for the most part.

And Zero rapes so hard. The ability to just do crit after crit after crit is hilarious.
