I've had some electronic problems with my vapor, i'm going to try an 09 ego virtue board to see if my bolt slides smoother and more efficient...

xD putting a new board in isn't going to clean your bolt assembly so I doubt it's going to help. If you want me to give it a once-over, let me know.

As for boards, I've heard rumors that EGO9+ boards fit, but I'm still holding out to see if Tadao makes an aftermarket Vapor board. I'd LOVE to shoot Tadao boards again!

Im willing to bet the "chopping" is being caused by roll back and when firing the ball stack is clipping and causing breaks. I would recommend contacting Machine and getting the flat-faced bolt or spend the $70 for a pooty bolt if you want. Took mine out today with the new flat-faced bolt from Machine and there were no issues at all shooting really brittle Evil, or mid-grade paint.

It's a possibility, but that thing looked like it was shooting confetti

most likely barrel breaks, the V2 bolt only helps if you're shooting super-small bore paint, or if you're using a high-tension loader. It's also possible that your marker is gunked up inside. I had a marker not too long ago that was so gunked up, the user had the pressure cranked up and the sheer force of the bolt hitting the ball was causing breaks.

shoot me a pm.

Oh, I'm WELL aware of that. I emailed Will to see if he'd be willing to reflash those boards for 2-button operation (IE they'll still have 3 buttons, but the 3rd button wouldn't do anything) Normally the bottom button is the equivalent of a "scroll down" when programming, but it has no purpose on the field. I'd like the boards to be reflashed so you could program the marker using the trigger and top two buttons.

Contact Tech@MachinePaintball.com and see if they can send you a new one. They're pretty good about that sort of stuff.

There were 5 Vapors at Bob's Paintball this past weekend. Including the 2 Military laser etched ones for the O'Rourke brothers in the military. I think they have pictures of them on the Facebook page.

They all shot great using 4 and 5 star GI Paint. Be sure to check them out at World Cup.

If you can read an oring chart, clean and re-lube after each use, and properly maintain an HPR the maintenance is easy. If you are like most Ego users I know and don't do any kind of cleaning except for every couple of months the Vapor isnt for you. As for the barrel kit it is AC threaded and is high quality.

Anybody got an answer for why the resale value of the Vapor is dropping so much?

Because people are selling their vapors really cheap so they have money for "the next big thing" at cup, but don't realize it kills the resale of the gun

Legitimate resale value is around $1300, anything less is a STEAL!

For lack of a better term, gun whores and people who took out loans are selling them for cheap because they're use to Luxe resale prices. Blame the sellers, not the company.

No don't get me wrong I don't blame the company at all...I went out and played quite a few games with my vapor today and it just seems to be shooting better and better for me smoothest sweetest gun I have ever owned!! I just wanted some input on why people are selling these awesome markers so damn cheap IMO it's absolutely ridiculous!!

No prob dude, I'm glad it helped!

And no worries, I just try to snuff out any ideas before they grow. there are just so many people who are willing to jump to wild conclusions and point their fingers at manufacture for the silliest reasons (some are justified, most are absolutely absurd)

As for why people dump markers for next-to-nothing, I think they just need fast cash, or they're just testing the waters and trying everything out there. It's beyond me why they'd burn money like that. I always sell for fair market value.

People are just stupid when it comes to buying and selling. On occasion you will find the ones that desperately need the cash that will sell cheap but the others are just marker whores who will buy a marker use it a couple times and then sell it off. As for the Vapor, I dont think I will want to get rid of it any times soon. It shoots so much better than any other spool out there and the build quality is easily the best of any marker.

I completely agree mine isn't going anywhere anytime soon, just hate to see people doing this to such a sweet marker and great new company.
