Does anyone know exactly why this won't work with an 09/10 ego? Someone said they used an 09/10 valve in their 11 just fine, and if they work right then the bolt should work for an 09/10 as well, right?

Who said they did that? Put an 09/10 valve in their 11. And more so....why?
But I don't think PE would tell 09/10 users that it won't work unless it truly wouldn't. There is no logical reason to lie to people

Found the post soul, and my guess is he got it for making the valve lp as he got a 10 lp valve.
I'm just wondering if it's not said to be compatible because of it will offset the firing cycle "balance" I guess you could say, or something like that.

Perhaps the controllable cycle speed of the 11 (via solenoid) makes it work with this kit. Could be that the older egos cycle too fast to be throwing this much weight around.

That could be it. I'm thinking it's something like that, but if its one of those "it will work fine but it is not recommended because it might put more strain on orings" type of issue, then it'd be worth it (possibly) to get it for an 09/10.

Seems like if you're coming out with a new marker you'd release that first and not the upgrade kit. Wouldn't you want people buying the new marker rather than simply upgrading the old one? Or would you want them to buy the upgrade kit AND then the new marker...?
|
Its is to be used for the Ego11 (out), Ego-S (out), and the CSL (out). Now they will probably be releasing an ego13 at cup but no body knows this for sure yet. I figure the bolt would work on that as well.
For the people that are asking "What is an Ego-S??" it the ego11 that was being sold with new colors during the year 2012. Same old ego11, just with new colors. Ego-S.

I figured this too. There wouldnt be much point to releasing a product that cant be used with a (possible) new Ego.

Few eBay stores claim to currently have them in stock ready to ship

Is it that its bad for the older guns in general, or is it a hazard for the guns at higher rates of fire? I mean, if all you play at is 12.5, would it really hurt an older model, 09 in particular?

I agree.
Expect a smoother shot, softer sound signature, and an increase to efficiency.
It's a great kit, that is worth every penny.

Regardless of your markers rate of fire, with a 09 or 10 your marker is still cycling with the same speed as if you were shooting uncapped ramp.
It wasn't until the 2011 line that you were actually able to slow the cycle speed of your marker to be in better accordance with the rate you actually needed to shoot.
Unless corrected by someone at the PE crew, I would assume that the kit will work in an older marker. But that the long term effects are still unknown and they do not want to have to warranty parts/markers that are damaged by a piece of kit not designed for that year release.
A low-flow turret or plank kit would likely be able to effectively slow the older models down enough to safely use the D.A.R.T kit. Weather anyone (PE or otherwise) takes the initiative to look into this and release anything, time will tell.

If this is all true I would imagine that in the instructions of this kit it tells that you must have the solenoid adjusters set no higher than a specified level. Guess when we will find out when someone who has one drops that bit of info

Interesting. I was sure that there would at least be instructions for readjusting the LPR
