If I'm not mistaken the SR, was not produced by Tadao, they had him just write the firing software that goes into it. To fix that your only choice is to contact Kee (I think they own Worr Games now) as they are the new acquiring firm.

In regards to the SR, Kee no longer has anything for the SR marker. I found the supplier for the original screen a while back. I will search for them again. I know they revised the driver, so the screen isn't the same anymore. I have to verify that their update is still comparable.
What I don't have is the proper tools to resolder circuit boards.

I have always preferred Tadao but will be switching to other boards from now on.

as said best in the movie Tommy Boy:
"But why do they put a guarantee on the box?
Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of ****."
I just had another Tadao screen go dim last week on a board that has seen NO field time, or aired up for that matter. Has only been taken out of my padded gun storage totes, to get other guns that are stored underneath it (seperated by foam).
No more Tadao boards for me. If a company won't stand behind their product. I won't buy it.

I could be wrong here but just a suggestion. After all im going to school for electrical engineering and computer/software analyst/programmer. but a factor with these screens could be a weak connection to either the board or the screen itself. the vibration of your guns firing will slowly cause the solder to become brittle therefore weakening the connection. if your daring enough you could try to re-solder the connections and that could solve the issue. also a small thing ive found with a few of my friends OLED' s was simply just unplugging the connection to the board then plugging it back in. just a few suggestions. Hope they help

I'm also a EE / Computer engineer. I design products that behave similar but not for the paintball market. It sounds more like a manufacturing defect similar to what the guy above posted. If anyone is willing to send me a board I will try to repair it free of charge to see if I can find the problem. I'll give any information and possibly a small amount of cash as collateral. I'm more or less curious as to what would cause widespread defects like this. LMK if you are interested. I would post updates here as well for everyone.

I agree with the idea of solder issues. I have 5+ years of experience with small electronics and would be willing to donate my skills in attempt to find a solution. Keep in mind any boards sent could receive unusable permanent damage.

Let Down
I am disappointed with Tadao at this point. They dont give a rats *** about there customers. That would explain why everyone eventually switches to Virtue and in some cases APE.

I am willing to donate the baord for the sake of science and research. Plus these is a killing to make in repairing used and defective boards. I am going to look into learning how to service and repairs things of this nature as well.

I also have a T. Yakuza from my 08 r. droid which has recently come out of storage. No paint has ever touched this board and only the display is too dim to even read. The board operates just fine but without the LED I can't tell what it's set to. If you still need a few boards to operate on PM me your address and I will ship it out to you "Derraj06".

Sorry for upping a dead thread but this has just happened to my oled where it's gone to dim for me to see outside a dark room. Any soldering work done that worked? New tadao screens worth getting? Any new info would be helpful.

Same question here.
Another option was to get a replacement screen from electronics shop but none looks exactly like the one we need :

I have same issue with my tadao yakuza board on my 08 ego. Unfortunately there isn't really anything to do about it. I might just switch back to stock ego board.... At least I can see perfectly with that screen
