The only unbalanced spool i would even think about buying for over $1000 is the vanguard demon the next best os a macdev drone then a geo

no please just leave
Etha and Geo3 and similar in no way. Go shoot one. The ethas bolt is nothing like the geo.
You also recommended the worst spoolie ever made.

The Etha shoots like poo lol I still think geo3, just because they seem to be a much simpler design. Less to go wrong, and I think the bolt adjuster will help it not feel so poppy like the geo 2. Gt is money, but too risky of an investment for me

Clone GT vs Geo 3...
No contest! The GT every time wins hands down. My only gripe about the GT is that the edges of the trigger frame are a little sharp. MD should have beveled the edges a little. Why does the GT win over the Geo?
1. Better bolt design. Geo unbalanced spool, GT balanced spool (HUGE difference).
2. GT is hoseless, Geo still uses hoses.
3. GT gets 1400+ shots on a 68/4500, Geo not so good.
4. GT is everything the VX was and refined with all the bugs worked out and further enhancements. The Geo is still the same old design with a new name.
5. Even with the Geo 4 having the solenoid adjuster on it to soften its shots, It's still not as nice as the GT.
5. GT grips/frame are not as nice as the Geo.

Wont argue your opinion. You are free to that. But will comment on these 3.
2- External hosing or Internal routing.....it doesn't make a bit of difference in terms of performance. So macroless is nothing more the aesthetics.
3- 10 pods =/= 1400 shots. 140 pods don't typically fill to 140 rounds. That's their max if filled tightly and properly, which most people dont. GT has been seen to get 10-10.5 pods. Geo3 seen to get 9 pods. Difference yet but not huge.
4- Geo3 is not exactly the same design. Like the GT, this Geo's internals have been updated in refined.
A lot of people do like the GT better. Thats cool but lets not try to validate opinion with false facts

Using macroless as a reason a gun is better is like me saying Gun A is better than Gun B because it is 2 toned instead of a solid color. Its just a matter of personal opinion
And I clearly said there was a efficiency difference. So in case you are about to go fan-boyish on me we can stop that now

I actually view a marker that has a macro as a performance difference for me...easier maintenance.
That said I have seen multiple brand new GT owners have issues right out of the box. One that hasn't had a hassle free trip to the field yet. I know markers require maintenance but in my experience the clones are very prone to failure. I'll take PE reliability any day.

As a Clone fan I'll say that I agree with Jack Wood on the issue and still prefer a macro. It makes troubleshooting much easier when you can air up the marker without the grips on and find those small leaks.

I don't know where these reports of bad GT's come from. Admittedly right at first there was a small percentage of them that had solenoid issues, but that problem has been resolved. I just don't see them as being "problematic" or "unreliable". Any marker can be poorly maintained and that isn't the markers fault. Also, if you have a bad o-ring, is that the manufacturers fault that something wore out? I don't know about anyone else, but I have 8 guns and have had to work on ALL of them from time to time beyond simply cleaning and lubing.

I have never had a problem with my gt yet and I have a pretty low serial # and I have owned it since they were first released.... It works every time I take it out of my bag. Never had a problem with my VX either..... I just clean the drive every couple of cases and clean the reg about every 10.
