Horrible daily sub. Trade then sell it for something that can play music

When doing a flared port box, is tuning going to be affected if the box isn't a rectangle? I only ask because the box I've been designing for my car is shaped like this as of right now:

After calculating it, my volume is 2.2ft^3 after taking out the port displacement(2 - 2" flared ports that are 8.3" long). It's tuned to 29hz.

So basically what I'm asking is if I just wasted my time doing this? Are these frequency numbers inaccurate or if this design will just flat out not work because it isn't a normal rectangle?

Thinking of putting them in my vette. Since it doesn't have room for subs I would have to get a custom box made. But... I'm not looking for something crazy. Just something bassy but still clear. I have a while till I buy them so any suggestions?

Well if you can get a sub or something used for a good price, it's not bad.

Got my car back, couldn't afford my insurance for awhile but I'm back on track and I asked a few months back about a sub and I'm stuck on either a SA-10 or SA-12. I know they're the same wattage and price is only $~10 difference.

I would only have one and space isn't a factor so what would you guys go with?

Also what is a good alternator amperage for running the SA-**? I have yet to pick out an amp so I'm thinking depending on the amp would give a better estimate on the alt.

Thanks in advance

Get the 12. Figure out what amp you're gonna use.

Also, alternator rating isn't gonna be the same for all cars. Some cars have way more electronics from the factory than others. If your car is wired for everything you can imagine, like mine, a 130amp alt isn't even good enough for a couple of relatively low-power amps.
