it would help to know what you are talking about more specifically...are you talking about the RPS premium? if you are the general size will be somewhere around .685 but usually a little smaller somewhere in about the .683 range but could be more than that depending on weather and other conditions.

All paint says .689 on the box. Experienced players know this is absolute BS.

Most ".689" paint rolls right through my Lurker .684 bore.

A barrel doesn't affect accuracy. Where you point the marker does.

Dumbest comment I've ever heard.... Take yours off and go play and let me know how that works for you, Ill be happy to play your mirror all day everyday....... Back on topic. I played in a tournament today and the empire premium rolled out my barrel and damn near didnt even touch the sides. My accuracy was non existent for the most part, Efficiency was pitiful, and my gun sounded like a cannon. The extreme overbore made for a long nasty shooting day. I will not shoot this paint again unless I have a smaller back that comes closer to matching. Not saying its bad paint just way to small for my .689 back. I honestly dont even know what would be the right size for it. Its the smallest I've played with so far.

LOL chill out. Barrels do not have an effect on accuracy, however underbore barrels will have a positive effect on CONSISTENCY, which will allow you to shoot ball-on-ball groupings a lot easier.

What about straight rifled vs spiral rifled vs a nice mirror polished stainless vs a semi polished aluminum vs a sandpaper barrel?

+1. The type of barrel will only effect accuracy because of the paint to bore match and how consistent that bore is down the barrel. The more expensive barrels do a better job of providing a consistent bore and a "clean" inside finish allowing for better chrono consistency and a tighter grouping.

Biggest thing about accuracy is paint quality

I agree that paint has alot to do with accuracy but the barrel itself is important aswell as it must hold a true bore and be consistent the length of the barrel, which in turn is going to play an effect on accuracy. Again if the barrel doesnt matter take yours off and play, as long as your shooting good paint it will fly straight is what your saying.

No, he's saying that ANY barrel will be accurate given good paint. And ANY barrel will have lousy accuracy given craptastic quality paint. Without any barrel, you have no ability to accelerate the paintball to velocity.

And he's totally right. From 1 barrel to another, the barrel makes VERY NEARLY no difference in accuracy. Consistency, as said, it makes a huge difference. But when concerning single shot accuracy, it makes only the smallest modicum of a difference, 90+% of accuracy is determined by the paint you shoot.
