Is it possible?
I have the Apex2 barrel (BT), and pretty much hate the bang/pop sound of it. I think this is due to only have the miniscule porting at the tip right before the apex2 housing...
I also use the stock shaft 4 barrel and J&J kits.. and my friends freaked all american whatcha call it... which are awesome..
Looks and use wise, I tend to use the Apex2 system a bit more, but omg that sound!

Is there an Apex2 barrel out there by some other manufacturer that is quieter?

I've looked and I've never seen one from a different company. I hate how heavy and loud my apex2 is, I don't even use it that much.

There are many Apex 2 compatible barrel options out there produced by Dye, CP and Flasc to name a few. I am particularly a fan of the Flasc systems as they offer custom porting optionsand a very long control bore length.
