I have not played a tournament since NPPL Vegas last year. Once you get into D3+ it sucks in norcal because theres nothing for you. Only the WCPPL in SoCal for a regional series and then nationals. So I just don't play anymore besides practices and even then I have not made one of those for a couple of months.

About 7 or 8 times a quarter, so almost every week.

Basically. Luckily, our school team is probably the equivalent to a D4 team so it's still just fine and dandy for us considering there is a major field about 10 mins away from our campus. However, there aren't any local tournaments really except scrimmages. In WA, the pb scene is even worse.

Things are thriving here, if you want to drive to socal. Which for me to get to one of the WCPPL tournaments I would have to leave from work on a Friday, drive 8 hours to the hotel. Sleep for about 4 hours and play a tournament Sat Sun, then drive home another 8 hours and try and get back to work monday. Or take 2 days off for a regional tournament series. No good option there.

True. If you were to drive from the Mexico boarder through California to Oregon it takes about 12 full hours.

It blows my mind that in most places outside of California or Texas you can pick a direction and be in another state is 3-4 hours. The freeways are terrible here as well, outside of LA and parts of the bay its all 2 lanes in each direction for 37 million people.
