Replacing slider frame on Trilogy cocker with hinge frame
Hello all. I have a WGP Trilogy and I recently came across a System X hinge frame. I bolted it up, but it wouldn't stay back when cocked. I'm guessing the hammer/sear isn't being hit. Any insight on this?

it could be that your lug depth isnt deep enough, remove your bolt then and lower the lug from the top of the gun till the hammer catches on the sear

Trillys came with sliders? They came with either the 1.5 or 2 finger hinges, not a slider.
What wont stay back when cocked? The hammer? The back block? The bolt?

bolt isnt supposed to stay back on a cocker.
bolt moves back, brings the hammer with it, then bolt moves back forward to the closed position. thus why its called a "closed bolt gun". the hammer stays back till you pull the trigger though. you should be able to hear the hammer catch on the sear when you pull it back. if you cant take the bolt out and put an allen key down into the hole on the top of the body, might take some wiggling but youll know when its in the hammer lug, should be hard to turn. if its not catching the sear just turn it inwards (clockwise) untill it catches and releases consistently.
edit: if you air it up and the bolt goes straight back, the 3 way hoses might just need to be switched. the stock hinge frames push the 3 way shaft forward, slider frames pull it back, so the hoses might need to be switched around, previous owner might have forgot about that.

I think he meant the hammer. He said hammer in the first post but said bolt in the second post.
It probably is the lug, just lower it in small increments until the sear catches (and holds it well).

This was what I meant. All has been taken care of now. Lowered the lug and it is catching now. I'm kind of a noob when it comes down to terminology, I am a mech. engineer so I usually just look at how the stuff works and figure it out. I wasn't aware of this "lug" before.
