Feed neck issue

Hey everyone,
I just picked up a luxe 2.0 and a virtue spire loader.
When I put the loader in the feedback, the feedneck at its smallest point still will not lock in the spire securely.

An thoughts? Ideas?

Thanks!

Wrap the feedneck in Duct tape or electrical tape.

That's what I figured I would have to do. Is there any reason for this? Are the luxe feednecks usually large?

Ya, I remember seeing that. I'm wondering if there is a secondary ring you can install in The feednecks to make it tighter? For a 1500$ gun I'd figure that they would work. Maybe mine is just out of shape/ size. Who knows.

Thank you guys for your input

Nothing is wrong with your luxe is the spire the one with the small feed neck.same thing is happening to me,some tape will take care of that.

I don't have a rotor with me to compare too, I'll check that today, I haven't put any other loader on this gun yet. I'll try a few today.

My rotor is loose in my luxe feedneck too, I think it's just my rotor though.

odd. I know my rotor and Z2 both fit in my feedneck fine and it could still go tighter if needed. I heard spires were kind of small on the feedneck so like these guys said I would suggest tape or maybe an oring?

luxe 1.5 / 2.0 have an updated thumbscrew knob.
The Luxe 1.0 thumbscrew is smaller, making it more difficult to make adjustments.

1) use elctrical tape, hockey tape
2) buy a new thumbscrew from DLX

another thing you could possibly do is take the collar off and you will have the grip tabs exposed. Put your hopper in the and the tabs should be touching/snug against the hopper.. if loose GENTLY push the tabs in evenly.

Ive had to do this before on shockers, since the Q-Lok feedneck hasnt changed in a billion years. Minus the upgraded thumbscrew

same thing with my 2.0 and spire it would grip with the screw fully tightened but it would still move. I wrapped it with one layer of electrical tape. All good.

have the same issue with my spire, you can also stick an oring between the feedneck and loader.

I have an upgraded 1.0 I bought used. Unless others are different, you should be able to put a small allen key (don't recall the size) into the thumbscrew/knob. I'm able to tighten it enough to hold my rotor securely. Hope this helps.

I have this same problem -_____- I'm gonna try the tabs thing tho. They look flexible. Otherwise mine stays locked in but the feedneck spins around hiding the spire fml
