Would the Empire sniper pump bolt upgrade do much difference to the Marker? I have one and Gateway has a bolt coming out. What are your thoughts?

No it won't.

Bolts are the most overhyped "upgrade" in paintball today. If the gun has a delrin bolt with detent slots in it the odds of a new bolt causing enough of a performance boost to be worth the $50 you spend on it are long indeed. A bolt is a bolt.

Yes on some electros and high rof guns bolts with ramped and cupped and soft faces might make a minuscule difference in ball clipping but really that's not going to be an issue with a pump (and it's not really an issue on most semis either in the days of capped 12.5 psp ramp and adjustable tension loaders)

i believe the upgraded bolt will help that pump stroke if u own a sniper u would know that when u pull it back theres that spot where it stops the stroke...im looking for a bolt that would fix that cuz its annoying the hell out of me

i don't own a sniper, but from using others I'm pretty sure the detents are causing that. you can take them out, then your problem will be fixed, you'll just have to make sure you have the right bore barrel for the paint or underbore so you don't get roll outs!

Buddy of mine took off the front bolt oring and gun is smoother. Remove all 3and its really smooth.

I would suggest tighter orings, if you must use them, the stock ones are too big.

It's designed with those o-rings there on purpose. They're not just holdovers from some other design. They help with efficiency, by quite a bit, if I remember what I'd seen somewhere correctly. Yes, it will be smoother without them in place, but you're also going to lose some efficiency. It also quiets the shot to have the o-rings.

I'm pretty sure the bolt there coming out with will have no orings making the stroke a lot smoother.
