[Dark Side]

Picked up one and I am told that it is missing the plste by the trigger guard. From the little info I was able to find, I presume it is meant that it is missing the Hall Effect sensor bits used to fire. Has anyone had one of these to confirm this? Are there different types of these frames? If they are in fact missing am I SOL on using the frame?

If someone who has one of them can take it apart, it should be possible to order the Hall Effect Sensor from Newark or Digikey. You just need a part number from an existing, working frame.

I was thinking the same thing. Hopeing that someone here might be able to give me that info if it is even needed. If I can run it off of a standard trigger I will until parts can be found.

Are you saying it will not work with a standard trigger? I'd like to think that I could wire up a Hall effect sensor to make it work.

I took my PBX trigger apart and checked out the sensor.
The only marking on it are 508 E 1023.
A little bit of googleing came up with this post

The sensor(and the holders, top and bottom) look the same as the ones in my gun(wire colors and heatshrinking).

Tried getting a hold of Ronin 23 (the guy behind PBX), but no luck. So....anyone have an idea for a possible trigger that would drop in? Or have an extra frame laying around I could pick up?

That's where I plan on getting the HES from (I can mod the harness to work, just need the specifics, but that's in work). Now I need the trigger....

You need to figure out exactly where the Hall effect sensor goes in the frame, and then find any trigger which you can attach a magnet to in the appropriate place. Hall effect sensors are pretty simple to get to activate. Finding a trigger that will fit will be a lot harder. Maybe you should get a picture and dimensions from someone that has a PBX trigger and have a couple triggers made for both of you guys. Think about how simple the Mini trigger is, there shouldn't be much to the PBX trigger either.

I always wanted a PBX frame when I had a Viking in 04, but it couldn't even find one back then! So good luck guys.

I briefly thought of trying to use one of my old Emag triggers to see if it would even work (3 seconds later I figured out how bad of an idea it was). I really like the look of the original trigger in these frames, but finding one to clone may be harder than I want to deal with.

Well ya got one person in this thread that has a frame and two people that need a trigger. 5 minutes with a caliper and he could give you most of the dimensions you need. The trigger is probably pretty simple since it uses a hall effect sensor. You might even be able to make one yourself out of delrin.
