Our paint price includes tax, and we offer exclusive member discounts. We only offer high end paintballs to ensure a great experience for everyone. The problem with mid-grade paintballs is hardness. We want to ensure that when you get hit with a ball at our park, the impact is as low intensity as possible. That is hard to do w/ mid-grade.

Also, Fox is cheap because 80% of the time its flooded.

I have never been there when it wasn't muddy as hell, (except it might not be now since it hasn't been raining and all the grass is dead in my area...)

I play at PBX almost every weekend. Not only are the fields pretty awesome, but the staff is the best. One of the coolest parts about PBX is they offer night games on Thursdays and Saturdays, something I haven't really found at other places, be sure to bring your flashlight. The entry and paint prices are also a little cheaper at PBX. CPX is an amazing place as well, with some huge, very detailed fields. Only played CPX twice, so I can't comment on their staff, sure they are nice as well, and when I was there it was raining and we played mostly woods games due to a LivingSocial event that took most of the good fields. So I can't really give a fair opinion on the place other then the fields are some of the sickest I have seen. Thing I love about PBX is the staff, not only are they nice and always willing to help, but most of them play after/before work, so you really get to know them. They are also always willing to do what the customers want, i.e. different games such as VIP, Capture the Flag, Hold the Castle, etc.... Really go to PBX the most due to the fact it is only 20 mins from my house. Both are amazing fields and I would recommend both to anyone. Mad love for Paintball Explosion though.

The refs and players at cpx are mean. A lot of arguing and swearing. The refs swear at you too. The staff doesn't care.

Just want to clear something up before i post anything , Yes i am a team sponsered by PBE, and you might take my opinion not so serious but i have played there before we were so here i go.

Details to start with- I started in early 2010 first park was CPX, enjoyed the hell out of it, start moving up through the ranks getting to know the lay of the land alot more. Finally after moving up to pistol only ranks i started noticing i went to CPX to play only 1 field and that was bedlam not so much any other fields, but after playing at PBE a year and half later i notice there was one thing that i did more was play any field there because it was completely themed not some sticks in the woods to make a bunker. So personally right now i like PBE.

But some Pros and Cons of both parks ( these are the ones i see for me at least)

CPX -

Pros
Closest park to me
Uses Marbs
wide selection of markers ( just markers )
2 decent fields i enjoy ( Bedlam and Wastelands)( even though the cracks in the ground are killer almost twisted an ankle out there)
cool transport buses
has sean scott ( had a chance to personally meet with and talk to, in my book he is a cool guy)

Cons
(biggest one i hear) $90 cases if you dont know someone or are not a member
Took them a year to get 4500 fills
$10 min on food ( i see if you have some point but everyone would use their card if you could get it down to $5)
long waits for bedlam( swore i waited 30 mins to play 1 round )
speedball is ranked higher over woodball or scerino players ( thats a personal con )
bedlam is in need of repair, actually alot of the fields are

PBE-

Pros
has indoor field gives the chance of no wind messing with the balls
new fields
new maps concepts
expanding
more scerinos games
was build on old santa village
offers a steeper discount on discount days of actually $20 off per case

Cons -
My biggest one its about an hour and 15 min drive
$10 min on food again would love to see a $5 min
oh the indoor field has an odd smell in the balcony(
problay from the paint on the field )

Also saw in a early post CPX and PBE ARE NOT OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON,

CPX is owned the Dagnino Family i believe

PBE is owned by TJ and Romeo

Also i would like to state , this is not to bash CPX or PBE, i am just voicing my opinion about to places i can play at and i am happy to play at either or,

I am a Pro on someone's list. I feel all warm and fuzzy now. Thanks!

If anyone ever has an issue at CPX, please feel free to PM me, call, or even go to the proshop and ask for me to tell me in person. If there is something I can change in order to make your experience here better, I will.

Romeo and TJ have a great field and are great guys. Why pick one over the other when you can play both!

i enjoy both equally, but if cpx had more discount/promo days they would probably have the upper hand. fox and pbx have amazing discount days that make them the go to spots.

My vote is for Paintball Explosion. Games are run VERY constantly, staff is extremely friendly (my last few visits at CPX for rec play I had some bad experiences with some of the refs), I love the option of indoor with air conditioning or heating depending on the weather/season, and it's in a great location where you can go slightly down the road and have tons of food options from Wendys, B dubs with your buds, or even a nice steakhouse.

I'm not saying CPX is a bad field, but it's been pretty disappointing that I haven't seen any major changes other than a wooden deck for drinking since I first played there 9 years ago. And if I went to a field to drink after playing, pbx has a very nicely stocked bar...

It's obvious a lot of people in this thread may be biased, so I would encourage that if you're going to post, give reasons to why you like one more than the other.
