Gt Asa

Has anyone had any problems with there Asa not sealing I've tried multiple tanks including a ninja slp and it still leaked right past the asa, I've also tried new orings as well. I put my luxe Asa knob on it and it seals perfectly. Any ideas?

There should be only 2 orings to worry about in terms of leaks on the asa.

Since you tried the luxe asa knob and it seals, we can rule out the one connected b/w the frame and the asa. That leaves the 006 oring on the stock asa knob.

Are you sure you have the proper size oring? Anything bigger than 006 won't allow you to turn the knob enough to gas the marker and anything smaller might not allow it to seal or is difficult to put on. It'd be helpful if I had more info.

Maybe try putting a tiny bit of lube on the oring to help it seal... I had some problems with my 006 oring breaking a few times when I got my GT. I cleaned it off really well, checked for any burrs on the threads and put a new oring on with a tiny bit of lube.... seems to be fine now. I also make sure to take the knob out and clean it after each time I play. It seems to get dirty pretty quickly.

You should post a thread on macdevmilitia.com under the tech section. There is always the possibility there is a machining issue on your ASA or the knob and they can help isolate the issue. It shouldn't be a struggle to get it to seal.

Got the same problem. First time using it today, happened. Replaced the oring and lubed. Left it aired up during waiting time between matches. Blew up on me and started leaking. WTF?? SHot great though. Better than a luxe!

Fixed it, clean the asa w/ q tips thoroughly. Lubed the oring and the thread, a good amount. Sealed up. Update tomorrow.

Was told to use a LP tank. Waiting for the new reg to come in to see if it fixes it. If it doesn't. Going to have MD replace the asa knob. And yes, I am using a luxe knob atm to be able to use the clone. I like the gt more than the luxe. ;D

Fixed the problem. Used a 1000grit sand paper wrapped it around an allen wrench and sanded down the insides of the asa to smoothen out the threads.

That's great to hear that you got it fixed! Must have been a sharp piece from the machining that was contacting the o-ring or something.

In any case I'm sure you're glad that it's all set now
