This might seem like a weird question, but how offten do you have to split a g6r in half? I know the front half of the gun comes off and I have seen a couple youtube videos of people doing it, but none of them say how offten you have to do it. Is it part of the regular maintenance? I have wanted a g6r for a while now and I might have some extra money by the time world cup comes around in october, but the fact that the the gun splits in two scares the crap out me for some reason.

Had mine for 2 years, and I play once a month and I never split in two. Still shoots amazing.

I split mine when I first bought it(5/11) to install the LP poppet. Hasn't been apart since.

Lube the bolt every case; the LPR and HPR every 10cases. I believe there's a maintenance schedule in the manual????

I did it for fun once, but i've never really needed to.

Sounds like you guys don't really need to maintain the poppet very much then

Manual recommends every 20 cases for that.

not even 20 cases. ive used mine almost non stop for a year and ive only split it open once.

The only time you really need to split it apart is if the poppit gets worn down. Very reliable marker

Ok, thanks for the info. the G6R is no a definite contender in my search for a new marker!

It does but I usually recommend folks not go in unless they have FSDO issues.

Ditto, but I always try to quote the manual for consistency/liabilty sake.
