2013 Allied Armor Invite

Check out the Baker Tank.

It's a maroon van with gun ports out the sides. Just
grab your ego, jump in, and enjoy racking up triple
digit kills.

See you in the CEF!

I know it's still 8 months before D-Day, which in some cases
still isn't enough time to plan and build a tank, let alone save
enough to haul it all the way to Oklahoma. Even if you can
get there you'll still have to feed the beast upwards of 3-4
cases of paint, not to mention yourself and the rest of your
crew.

All of the above serve as good reasons to start planning now!

Got questions, need advice or just want to know more about
what to expect, drop me a line and I'll hook you up with one
of our veteran tank owners.

Sincerely,

Look I was wish people would stop calling vehicles with netting over the windows a tank. Its not a tank doesnt look like a tank its a P.A.V. A paintball tank is a vehicle at first glance is where your first thought is that is a tank. When I show people pictures of these types of paintball tanks to someone who does not play paintball they ask what is that. Their first thought is not that is a tank. So please stop calling these vehicle tankstanks because they look nothinglike a tank. IMFHO

It's ben a while since I last posted here so I thought
I'd post a reminder to everyone about the special deal
the Bunker is running. A case of paint, a 2013 tee and
your entry fee, all for one low price. For more details
drop over to their site www.ddaypark.com and check it
out, but remember time is limited.

Beyond te Bunker's deal, there's also the fact that we
are going to be allowed to use First Strike rounds this
year. Doubt they'll be allowed to use them on tanks,
so you folks with a tank can rest easy..

One more note and that's to do with the special deal
that the Bunker and Valken have going. Lots of good
prizes for those who join Valken's Corps, especially if
you plan on bringing 10 players or more. Even better
option for those who join their elite group. Again all
the details can be found on the D-Day Park website.

Sincerely,

With still six months to go before they kick off D-Day
you'd think there's plenty of time left to make you're
decision, but trust me time has a way of slipping
through your fingers when it comes to completing a
tank or making improvments to it. This last year our
side fielded something like 18 vehicles. The Germans
had close to a dozen more, making D-Day 2012 one
of the most challenging paintball events ever staged.

For 2013 the Allied Army looks to match last years
total and in order to do that we need your help. We
are also seeking people who'd like to serve either as
scouts, or tank killers for both our 899th Blackcat
unit as well as for other divisions who also end up
facing down German armor. If you've got a tank,
or want a chance to hunt them, drop me a line of
give my office a call.

Sincerely,

CEF "Deathdealer"

The 'Deathdealer' is just the latest CEF armored vehicle to be
added to their growing inventory. Here's a brief view of both
the vehicle and some of the D-Day field captured there during
a recent event.

If you're looking to join a 'Allied Army' unit for this year's 'D-Day
Event,' consider hooking up with the CEF, the only truly globial
paintball team.

Kelly's Heros Promotion

Kelly's Heros, the mini Sherman tank guys
want your help. Here's a short clip they've
created to give you some sense of what's
in store if you hook up with them.

Remember, that's the 2nd Armor unit you'll
want to join when you sign up...

Enjoy!

D-day 2013

Back during the start of D-Day 2011 the
players from both sides got the surprise
of their life when a pair of mini-Sherman
tanks made their way ashore onto Omaha
Beach. As far as we know this was the
first time a amphibious tank had made
such a landing during a paintball event.

If you'd like to help make history this
coming June, we'd love to have you join
us for what promises to be another great
D-Day Event!

For more details and answers to your
questions, either drop me a note, or give
my office a call.

Dont take this the wrong way but I will say its a "Big Easy" target for a nerf. I like the fact it can transport players but it needs a rotating/fixed turret or something to protect the players sticking out the top. Without something to protect them they will have fun getting lit up under fire. From what I saw in the vid they had no capabilities to defend or attack after they drop their players. I understand if its a transport only vehicle. I went without a turret once in a game and those players got railed alot that had their heads out of my tank. Its only my opinion. Have fun guys!

I could be wrong but I beleive they have
added a netted in turret to the top. What
you see in the clip is the way it looked
right after they bought it from someone
else.

As for killing it with a Nerf, that might be
how they kill tanks where you play and at
most other fields, but at D-Day you've got
to score a hit on a small target using a pb
launched from a weapon desiged to look
like a real bazooka, Piat or Panzer Shrek.
No easy task even on a good day, let aone
when you're under fire and that's not even
counting from any mech infantry guys who
might also be supporting the tank.

I have heard at Ok D Day they cannot use Nerfs and you have to hit tanks with small kill boxes with paintballs or flamethrowers (big squirt guns). I can see where these methods are a bigger challenge to take out a tank or bunker. I have played in games using those devices in NY and NC and thats fine if thats how they play at this big game. If I ever bring my tank to this field I will be ready to make the gunnery changes and leave my Nerfs at home.

Yes, that's how they operate out there. They also issue a
different color paint to those who bring what's called a HW
or Heavy Weapons as well as the tanks, for killing one
another. To add more interest they place limits on the
number of AT gunners each side can have, so you don't
wind up with every tom, dick and harry carrying a bazooka.
The down side to that of course is the size of the field and
the fact that you're apt to find German tanks just about
anywhere. We deal with that by making sure we've got
AT gunners embedded in all of our major divisions. They
get looked after and protected, just like you'd do if you
had a medic, which of course we don't. We also have a
dedicated AT unit, called the 899th Blackcats, which is
comprised of nothing but teams of 4-5 players. Eacgh team
has a guy with the tube, a guy to guard him and the rest
to distract the tank. Of course we can do all this because
we've got most of the week to get these guys trained up
and working as teams, which isn't possible when you show
up on Saturday AM and have to play right away. Sometimes
I think it's too bad we can't all play the way we do that week,
but then it's also a good thing, cause we'd probably dominate
anyone we came up against. That used to happen back in the
late 80s when we played. We got to the pointnthat we worked
so well together that the organizer had to break us up.

At West Point Engler has a few friends who know him from
D-Day, but out there he's got 200 who've play with him every
year. His 101st has 4 companies, each with it's own CO, XO,
S-3 and so on. The same thing applies to all of our larger
divisions, as well as with the Germans as well.

Armor Appeal

Just a reminder to all you tank owners out there,
as well as to anyone who enjoys the thrill of hunting
and killing them. On May 1st the Bunker plans to
raise the entry fee, so get registered before that.

Last year the Allied Army fielded 17 assorted tanks
and aircraft, compared to the 15 the Germans had.

Other fields and event tout the fact they have one
or two or maybe three tanks, but no one else, not
even Fulda Gap comes close to what you'll see at
D-Day. This year the Germans even have plans to
have a non flying FW 190, which is nearly full scale!

82nd Tank Killer

When you think about facing down a German tank, don't
think it's as simple as bouncing a Nerf off of it. A t D-Day
you have a single chance to hit a small target that's
taped to it.

Here's a member of the 82nd Airborne taking out one of
the German tanks at the recent Red Dawn Redemption,
which serves as a sort of warm up for D-Day.

Want to get in on the action, then sign up for D-Day.

Here's a clip of one of our top AT gunners warming
up for D-Day by taking part in a speedball event.
Anyone up for some tank hunting, we're still looking
for players in the 899th Blackcats, as well as in our
three Airborne outfits as well.

AT Weapon Build Video

Here's a video which walks you through the process
of building an AT weapon for use at D-Day, or at
any other event which allows you to use pellets as
the means of killing tanks.

Thanks to Mark DiCicco and his son for this clip.

Sincerely,
