time for a new 12week program, **** being skinny
alright before i go any further about me:
6ft
165lbs
insane metabolism, mom runs marathons and dad played football for OSU
I'm a competitor in muy thai and bjj almost every night of the week which means a ton of cardio, no weight gain.
I'm on a mission to reach 180 pounds as quickly as possible. That's my ideal weight.
I plan to eat a lot, and not focus too crazy on healthy, so long as i meet protein and carb macros. I need the calories and hopefully my cardio and metabolism keeps fat gain down.
Just bought a new gym membership at the powerhouse and realized i havn't been on an official lifting program since highschool.
I've been checking out bodybuilding.com and found a couple 12 week programs that look solid but i'm wondering what would be the most effective way to gain while i'm training with an extra 2 hours plus of cardio every night.
I'd like to be able to transfer the size to competing in mma, which means any explosive/olympic lifts would be preferred, i'm not looking to gain slabs of worthless muscle.
any help/suggestions is appreciated.
oh and here's current pics, just to show what i'm stuck with right now. strictly for progress checks.
massive flex i know

Eat. Train. Sleep. Do these three things as much as you can and that's really all you need. Do things that are awesome. Squatting and lifting heavy **** a bunch of times is awesome. Jogging is not.
Also, shut the **** up about your "high metabolism". Just eat more.

i can fluxuate like 3lbs up or down depending on if i eat 5 or 7 times a day but i'm talking 15lbs by febuary or so. Cardio like crazy does the gain no good, i've cut 5lbs a week purely drinking water and gyming more.

BTW I'm harassing you because still training 3hours a night 4x a week I managed to go from 165-215
Just gotta make lifting heavy and eating heavier a priority.

i guess im used to cutting not gaining. Wrestling in highschool that's all you'd do, talk about suckage.
SO
sum it up, heavy compound lifts, squats, bench, dlift, throw in a shoulder day-eat everything all day?

stiff legged deads if you want a dead day, but...
BTW training legs with intensity is just... horrible when you're training. I would focus more on upper body, your legs will change with your diet and the amount of training that mma demans of them.

i mean i have a sub 5 minute mile time so you can imagine i got the tiny runner chicken legs going on.
I'll probably throw an intense day in every other week to promote it, or i might just start with intensity on squats and do presses and such normal.
Tell me about it, 2 hours slipping punches on toes because my movement is too slow. Your thighs, calves, everything sucks for the next week.
