If you want switch the front and back QEV's and if it still leaks then the o-ring rebuild will be needed. If I'm not mistaken Vegard the belsales/nexus ram o-rings are size 003 on the shaft.

Heres a disassembly video if you have never taken a nexus ram apart.

just get more soap and water
Will do

No leak from the noid, so back to QEV fixing it is.

I think I'm going to replace that o-ring just to be safe, never had one apart before I started this thread, I was surprised at its simplicity.
Always expected to find a goblin or two in there, or maybe their absence is why it isn't working properly; hmm..

I agree that you should inspect the ram (as indicated above). If you want to really get into a QEV rebuild, here's the link: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=1657427
Hope it works out.

Trying to get an ego diaphragm so I don't have to shell out $25 for a pack of ten.

Rebuilt the ram and let the qev loctite cure for a week and it still leaks.
How do I crack open the qev to replace the diapragm?

You kind of ruin the qev when they are opened up..
Put it in a vice (soft jaws) with the rear facing up
Use a vice grip to twist off the back cap (maring the **** out of the cap..)
Replace diaphram, noting orientation
Put loctite on back cap
Replace back cap.
It wont tighten down as far as it was previously.
