Agreed, the movie did so much to define the idea of the Duniverse ... though recently I saw the Dune miniseries and the Children of Dune sequel and do see where people are coming from when they say those are better overall.

The original miniseries was kind of shoestring but definitely way more true to the story.... Children of Dune miniseries IMO is the best of all Dune cinema, incredible filmmaking and omg Daniela Amavia ...
