use google to find the manual. then do these things in order:

1. check the battery, you said you already put in a fresh one. so this most likely isnt the issue.

2. read the manual and learn how to take the gun apart. it gives step by step instructions on how to do so, and honestly ions are very easy to take apart, just a bit time consuming. just take a little care removing the frame as to not damage the board.

3. with the gun apart, clean and re-lube the bolt with dow33 grease like sl33k, evil pus, hatersauce, monkeypoo, eclipse grease, whatever as long as its not oil or dow55. then put it back together. ions need this done about every 2 cases of paint tops, after each case to be safe. otherwise you can get this shootdown issue. as will most other spool valve style guns like shockers and dm's. also make sure the pressure is set at 180-200psi. im betting this is most likely the problem if youve played since the gun was last teched.

4. if that doesnt fix it, then its time to start checking your settings. why settings last you might ask: because everything i mentioned above is considered "regular maintenance". if the settings are where they're supposed to be, then the gun should work fine as long as the regular maintenance is done. start by consorting the manual to find out what the dwell setting is supposed to be, if its a little low it can cause shootdown. if its not where its supposed to be adjust it back to the stock setting. double check all the other settings too but dwell is the only one that can cause shootdown.

but seriously, take the time to learn how to take the gun apart and take care of it. unless you really feel like paying someone another $50 to do something that you can do yourself in about 20 minutes. in the end ions are fantastic little guns, they can take a major beating and keep on going.

Also, that was one crazy piece of spam, lol.

Back on topic: Save your money, get the DVD, learn how to maintain your marker yourself.

The Ion is a pretty standard marker and is fairly easy to maintain. I'll repeat what everyone else has said and download the manual, re-lube all the o-rings and bolt engine, and try from there. if you're still getting shootdown, then take a look at your regulator, macroline, and tank reg.

Go out and get a tube or tub of your own grease. You'll thank me later.

He needs no money. I offered the DVD to him. I am just waiting for his response.

Which is why I told him to save his money I probably should have clarified that he should have just gotten the DVD from you, and then saved his money lol

I love the TechT videos. They are great for learning how to work on certain markers.

no problem man. heres another thing you might want to check out in case you need some spare o-rings down the line:

http://www.oringmonkey.com/product_i...products_id=73

they have pretty good prices on full o-ring kits for just about every gun out there, you can buy grease from them too if you dont have a shop around to buy from. theres also www.macrolineguy.com who sells odds and ends like that.

this also looks pretty cool, read your manual, find out what sizes you need and order a bunch, looks like you get a free container too:
