New geo owner, couple questions
This is my first geo. picked up a nice geo2 here in the b/st.
First question, how often do you actually clean the solenoid? I never found this necessary with any other market unless it leaked. If you do, how often?
Second, how's the battery life?
Thanks!

Battery life is as good as any other PE marker. Want to never have battery issues again buy lithium-ion 9Vs
As for the noid. You shouldn't have issues unless you over lube it. Remember just enough grease for the Orings to look wet. I clean mine one time a season.

You may want to clean the noid only because you bought used and have no idea how well the previous owner kept it. But past that even once a season might be more than necessary.
Battery life is good depending on the quality of battery you put in it. I use the Energizer lithiums which last me a long time

When you get the marker, if it works leave it alone IMO. Opening it up can cause you problems that you wouldn't have had. Just my .02

i consider myself pretty "tech savvy" but if there isn't a problem with the noid i'm not going to bother, just like every other marker I've had.

since the noid has a gasket.. and once you release that pressure off of it, its more than likely going to swell slightly and may cause a leak. So if your going to tech or clean your noid replace that gasket..
however... if the market shoots with no issues.. leave it alone.

Replacement is not needed. I clean mine with some dish soap and regrease the gasket and reinstall. Its more important to tighten the noid screws evenly then replacing the gasket. Unless its torn and leaking.
