2012 is remarkably well thought out and made for its price. Sure there are better units out ther but not for $150 New.
I love mine so far,

I have a Fenix and a mech Spyder as a backup. Love the Fenix . Works great out of the box.
I was talked into getting a G3 a few years ago but boy was that a big mistake. I had nothing but bolt stick although my friends G3 did not. I got flamed on the DP forum for not spending time to fix it. Well got rid of it. Problem gone.

Yeah VL shouldn't have too much of an issue on ramp. Though I did starve a 9V Fasta a few times.

I had problems with 9V batteries. If you use 9.6V it would be the best unless you do the solenoid mod so you won't have problems with 9V

I was talking about the loader.
AS for the markers battery. You only lose shots per battery when going 9-9.6v. The marker is optimized for 9.6 but you don't have to do any mods to get it running on a 9v.
At least, I didn't.

The viewloader will do OK you can always look for a halo hopper that's what my boys uses on his Electra with no problems.

Yeah, after 10 minutes of research (see post below), you never got flamed. So thanks for lying.

This looks more like you got a G4, not a G3... and enjoyed it thoroughly: Example 1
And if this is the thread you are talking about, seems pretty far from flaming as well: Example 2
I went through your whole post history, you never got flamed. In fact, the whole time you complained about your bolt stick, we tried to help. So thanks for giving us and DP a bad name by lying.

You only read what I post. I got rid of the G4 as well (air hog, not wasting $$$ on the TechT bolt) and got the FX.
My beef is about my first DP gun, the G3 (it was a lemon), I did not bash DP. Did I say anything about DP?
I still have my sweet FX and that one good DP product.

Oh god, the amount of fail going on is quite gross in here.
Silentball, shhh.
Ok, so on the fenix:
No, it's not really that "good", but it isn't **** either.
Do I think it's worth the money it costs? No.
Viewloader.... What do you mean? The ReVLution/Revvy? or the VL90? VL2000? VLocity? Sr or Jr?
for the Fenix, looks like an electra with valve and regulator revisions.
You can buy a like new Electra (stock) for around $60-$70 now.
Slam some decent HPR (high pressre regulator/inline reg) and you have a very similar marker.
In fact, you can buy a Tadao board/chip for it for less than $20 as well and those are leaps (lol) and bounds greater than the stock board.
The weight difference is negligible and yeah the milling is older and plainer, but you are buying an electronic blowback.
I'd suggest an ICD Promaster over the Fenix, to be quite frank. Just all around better guns and still cost about $50-$90 depending on upgrades and condition.
Bonus: AKA parts are fairly inexpensive for them

The Fenix actually started off in the older Spyder body designs. The Fenix today is the similar to the Pilot and Electra. The Electra having packaged with a reg and on/off asa and a metal grip frame.
Although you can buy Spyders for next to nothing, they are absolutely great performers. When ever my primary electro goes down, the mech is always there.
The new Fenix does have nicer milling than the Electra although is has less. The Electra milling around the bolt area looked to busy. It is too bad this year they decided on a plastic grip frame and no on/off asa.
Does anyone know what are the threads on the feedneck? I am trying to convert to a clamping aftermarket.

Besides loose screws from factory I'm pretty happy with the fenix so far, running it with a halo too and it's been running pretty well, holding up against my friends 98, A-5, X7, rap4 tornado, and mr100.
I have a lil trouble with getting the ramp working without getting into some sort of non stop full auto mode. But there's not much I feel I need to upgrade besides the barrell.
