i have an mq valve that i got a while ago, and when i put it into my gun it leaks from the barrel. i tried lubing the poppet, changing o-rings, i zeroed out my reg, but as soon as air gets in it leaks, im also certain that im tightening it down enough. could it possibly be the dot? does it need to be replaced?

Could be the valve set screw being too long; or could be the allen screw on the front of the poppet is loose.

he can be right on the set screw, best way to test this is to install it without the valve set screw.

any idea on the actual reg pressure?

not really sure what the pressure is, theres no guage port on it.

try a different reg, you need to know for sure if the reg your working is a good one. you have a spare gauge and duckbill or asa?
