x7 Phenom + speedball

Since the gun is after all a spool valve, and the cyclone can keep up at a moderate BPS, i'm curious on a way to effectively use it in speedball while offsetting the air tank for times when I want to play it. Remember it is afterall recreation speedball. I run a 68ci 4500 psi tank and find it quite cumbersome, I was looking around for harnesses with a vertical tank pouch with no more than 2 pod holders, As I already have a vest than can run it on my back but regardless Vests/harnesses are a big pain for two reasons..

The remote line. And refilling your tank is impossible when you cant use fill hoses.

Further more, Rap4's flexi air system only allows tanks that give you maybe a 100 to 200 shots, while also being made by a company not known for it perfections!

So I'm curious, anyone else use a phenom for these purposes? Whats your effective gear/setup. Any decent harnesses with a vertical tank pouch that can fit my 68ci 4500psi Carbon Fiber tank, and has 2 vertical pod pouches? I'm not looking to step on a speedball field looking like a lost GI dolled up in Tac. gear

Couldn't you just as a fill station whip to access the tank?

Not sure, the place I go to uses scuba tanks and watches the pressure adjust on the tank itself. Not sure if they'd actually do this, and I understand i have the option of asking but i'd imagine a fill whip is more for a second pressure gauge kind of fill station? (Not sure on this subject XD)

And secondly i'd think it'd be more impractical to have another line tied up to a tank, and awkward to keep the line attached, as if i just put it on to fill up i might as well just depressurize it and remove the entire tank. ?

Correct me on any of this, as I've only ever been a screw the tank on directly kind of guy.

Thanks.

*edit* Thus why I made a station about fill hoses/whips.

When I've seen whips used, they don't actually stay on the tank on the players back, it's just kept on the table where the fill station is and attached when players need it.

I don't think it would matter whether being used with a pushbutton fill station or a scuba-based one because the connections between the station and the paintball tank are the same either way.

There is a whip for filling tanks made by ninja. We have them on our website http://www.englercpb.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4_13_33&pro ducts_id=2705

I have used my minimalist phenom in speedball games and many others do to.

YOu could always put together a belt with a few pod carriers and a bottle carrier too. I just run a NXE 6 pack and a 68/4500 on my gun.

How is the Nxe harness?

I've looked at that and Rap4's paintball harness. Nxe doesnt seem very durable, or entirely effective, and I know nothing of Rap4's harness, but do know how Rap4 tends to be..

I havent tried the NXE harness but I would trust it over RAP4s stuff. Plus Tippmann owns NXE so you can keep your loyalties.
