6/10 Cats are interesting subjects but the lighting seems weird to me and it also seems like a weird "setting". The look on the face of the one on the left is classic (what the hell are you doing?" that I assume all cats think.

Kid has nice blue eyes and a good expression and everything appears to be in focus. It just feels like nothing is going on and the picture could be more creative. The colors are very cold, but it's probably just me. 7/10

6/10.. it just seems to be a snap shot to me. there is something i like about it, however, it's not very pronounced and does not replace the fact that the subject is a dude chillin' in a tree. apply what you did here to an actual posed portrait, i think the results could be good.
