Got to play with my GT last night (FINALLY!)..It performed awesome! I did have a slight FSDO but it was very slight and I figured out that I didn't get all of the factory lube cleaned out. I think I sold about 6 of them by letting ppl shoot the gun....Joke is on them, they all thought I was being nice letting them shoot the GT. I was just letting them help me break it in with their paint

its a sweet marker.. only thing I dont like are the 20 orings LOL. To me its the best shooting marker out there. Quiet and smooth!

The GT will definitely get better over time and once it's broken in a bit you should have no problem with FSDO if you have proper sized o-rings in there and lube it properly.

The GT does have a lot of o-rings, but most of them are static. There are only a handful of dynamic o-rings and once you get accustomed to the GT's drivetrain it really is pretty simple.

How do you define static/dynamic? I've always defined static orings as orings that do not move OR have any parts move against them. Dynamic orings being orings that move OR have a part move against them. If you look at this animation of the Droid engine (which operates/is exactly the same as the GT), you will see there are actually quite a few dynamic orings (by my definition). Not trying to start up anything, but I've always found it odd when people say that the Droid/Clone engine has alot of orings but only a "few/handful" are dynamic. I count 8 dynamic orings by my definition, which is more than any other spool valve currently being made if I'm not mistaken.

Valve (3)
Bolt switch
Bolt keg inner
Bolt keg spacer

There are no o-rings in the GT that are "problem o-rings" though, and by that I mean o-rings that fail or need to be replaced on a regular basis.

I like to hand fit my o-rings and after doing that you should get a lot of cycles out of the GT before having to change any of them. I mean of course any o-ring could always fail at any given time but none seem to do that on a regular basis. If you happen to get an o-ring that's slightly too small or large it could cause an issue which is why I like to hand fit and know that I will rarely run into a problem.

I don't mind having the 8 dynamic o-rings as it's a small trade-off for the performance and smoothness you get out of the GT. Maintenance is a breeze and takes like 5 minutes once you do it a couple times and get used to it.

in regards to the amount of o-rings on the drive train all I have to say is thats the price for shooting the best spool valve on the market. I HATE trouble shooting my old school Matrix but deal with it because it is an amazing shooting gun. The plus side is that the o-rings have such a long life before needing changing thats its almost a mute point.
