I was looking into getting the macdev shift kit because I am in need of a barrel kit and it seems like a pretty good deal at 140$ with 4 inserts, a front, back and a descent looking case.

Looking for some feed back from people have owned/used it because I am yet to see one in person.

freak kit doesn't look bad for the money either...

I have 2 Shift kits. They are one of the best barrel kits imo. There a good price, have a decent lenth control bore, and lots of porting and a variety of bores. I also really like the 3 piece design and they come in a really nice case. Macdev makes quality products. good luck deciding.

Shift kit has 5 inserts: .693, .691, .689, .685, .681
Entirely decent kit, quiet and light.

Freak Kit with a Deadlywind barrel is nice too though, comes with 8 bores, similar price point, and very light and quiet.

Both are amazing kits, can't really go wrong.

SS isn't really worth it unless you don't take care of your stuff. Aluminum is MUCH lighter, and works wonderfully.

The Shift kit is freaking amazing. IMO it kills the Freak kit that I used to have. The Freak has more inserts but I think the inserts are a little too fragile. The Shift has a great design and comes in practically the same case as a Clone. The only other barrel that comes close IMO is the Sly kit. Take a look at that one too.
