I usually keep my speedfeed on. Before the game i keep a paint bag over my loader then either before the buzzer sounds or i load my first pod i rip it off. Check with the refs if you can take the bag on the field. If you can, take the bag off with your first pod. If the visor doesnt cover the vents at the top of the mask, cover them. I usually dont wear a beanie for rain due to the fact it holds more water and might cause your lens to fog. If you want to, wrap hockey tape around the grips so it creates more of a seal and it will provide more grip. Make sure you have cleats and an extra pair of socks doesnt hurt. Have fun!!! I know i love playing in the rain.
spare top for the rotor is great, as long as you are not using a V1 crown, because you can leave your speedfeed inplace and still install the Lid. Also the new HK speedfeeds come with a rain cover that supposedly works pretty well.
