How are they? ive heard great things but ive heard of them breaking. i dont wanna spend 30 bucks on pods and have them break.

The Dye Locklids' performance varies due to the type of harness being used. The bumps on the sides can make it difficult to take the pod out of the harness in the middle of the game, if the part that the pod goes into the pack is a tight squeeze. A personal problem that I've had is that when grabbing the pod from the pack it opens up (I guess because the direction in which you take out the pod slides the button to open the pod) and all the paint falls out (I use a GXG pod pack, which isn't the greatest). This has probably happened to me at least 5 times. However once the pod is out of the pack it performs nicely (easy to open/close). If I was given the choice to spend money on either a cheaper regular pod or Locklid I would probably go with the regular pod just because it's cheaper to replace if lost/stolen on the field and also due to reliability reasons.

I had one problem, pulled the entire collar off a locklid when trying to get it out of a harness, spilling paint. Happened in the middle of a tourney game. Swore to never use one again. AND they're expensive. Stay away.

Just stick with GxG pods. They're cheap and they work. Keeping it simple allows for the smallest margin of error due to less variables (ie: things that can go wrong).

I had the same issue on a couple but only on my very old ones I just took the caps of and used gorilla glue and problem fix, I love them and so far is the best pods I've used

Lock lids are know to have the whole lid assembly rip off the pods but they can be easily fixed with some good glue. They also hold some extra paint do to the dimples in the pod.

I really like the Valken harnesses, have the Fate and just ordered a Redemption.

sweet thanks guys. my buddy recently bought a pack of 6 lock lids but he only uses 4 so im gunna give them and the normal pods a try today.

what he said, and valken pod packs are great. They hold Locklids and Pinokio pods with no problem.
