Is it shredding the Knob oring or is the knob oring OK? IF the knob oring is ok then you need to change the Oring between the frame and the ASA. when you remove ASA and replace oring put Blue locktite on the 2 screws it will help it from happening again.

My myth2 reg'd tanks work fine on my GT.

It's the oring on the knob. I replaced the oring over 12 times. I'm going to switch to a LP myth g2 reg to see of that's the problem.
