Hey guys Im 13. I wanna start to get in the more competetive side of paintball but I have 2 issues finding a local team and completely convinceing my parents that its a physical ,competetive sport. I have found one team that plays at my local feild but there like d2. I have also so tryed to talk to my mom about it but she is more used to baseball basketball , football etc. so any tips will help guys. THANKS.

Simply just have them go to the field and they will realize how much fun it is and show them how good you are

Maybe find some kids in your school who play or want to play paintball. Start playing recball together so you can get used to playing with each other. Ask your local field[s] if they have any tournaments. Book your first tournament. Also, even though I'm a beginner, and I'm sure you already know this, but the only way your team will get better is if they challenge themselves, and play with people who will kick their ***. So after your 1st tournament ask that d2 team if they want to play you. Hope I helped btw I'm 13 too.

Not a good idea. It is a very hard thing to start a team

i used to be the same i played baseball for 8 years for an elite team....i wanted to quit because i was just not playing the way i used to and it was just getting boring....but my mom said if i quit shes not paying anything for paintball so i traded all my **** for pball stuff...I made a team from kids at my school and brought her to the field to see the practice and workouts we do....i lost 10 pounds playing the damn sport.....****ing good **** lol

Right, he's also 13 years old. I say go for it. If noone tried anything because it was too hard we'd have nothing.

You might as well of told him to sit on the couch and eat cheetos all day.

OP; find some kids from school who are interested in paintball as well. Play together and practice together. Once you have your communication and playing styles worked out. Watch some videos, go to some camps, etc and learn the fundamentals. I see plenty of fields advertising clinics and such. Sign up for your first tournament and go and have fun. Thats all you can do, have fun. The winning will come natural, you just have to practice practice practice.

I know how hard it is to find a team to play on. I was 11 when I played my first game of woods ball. Then I saw a young guns tournament at a local field. I put together my own team and played it. I was 12 at the time. I loved to play after that I found a small field that was hosting tryout for new teams. My team and I tried out for it and made it. I am 14 now and I am the only one on that team that is still playing. I practice every weekend that I can and now I am playing on a d4 team. Paintball is a flaky sport and you have to work hard. Show your parents that u love to play and live to play. Make your own team and practice hard.
