*£*£*£* Refund on an Ion Question *£*£*£*
Well here it is,
I sold an ion to this guy locally, he saw that it was working when he bought it. Next day he goes out to the field and it starts to leak, he then contacts me saying he wants his money back because its not working and he forgot he had to pay $200 for his car insurance. I say I will gladly fix the leak for you and give it back. He didn't contact me again after that, I go a full day without contact and then he says he needs his money back so he can go buy a DM9 because he doesn't like it. I'm wondering what happened to the car insurance... So I ask him and he said his dad paid for it and he now has to pay him back... I'm thinking he's bull****ting me. What's your guy's opinion on this situation?

I'm thinking whatever he did to it is his own fault and your part as a seller is done. You even offered to fix it for him which is more than a lot of people would do. Save all of your contact history (emails, texts) just in case he does try to take you to small claims.

Say you spent the money on something you can't return. Bills, medications, etc. Anything to get it through his head that the money is gone and he can't get it back. Your job as a seller is done.

Buyers remorse sucks but you gave him a chance to try the marker, if he didn't like it he shouldn't have paid for it.
A lot of people like the dm9s but I personally never cared for it every time I've used one.

You sold him a working marker, for whatever reason, once it was in his hands it started to leak. you went out of your way to offer to fix it for him.
Its like the fat *** at the restaurant that wants a refund AFTER they ate the food.
you did your part, move on

I would avoid any attempt at saying "the money has already been spent." I'm in a dispute of my own, and that's the excuse the seller used when he sold me a mostly broken ION off ebay and represented it as "working."
I would simply inform him that you cannot be certain what he did to the marker after it left your hands, and if he doesn't want it, anymore, sell it. It's not your problem if he just wants his money back.
Also, you can tell him how a nicely upgraded and tuned Ion would mow anyone's face just as well as a DM9, and cost considerably cheaper, as well.

Marker was working, he purchased it. The deal is over. If he wants his money back, tell him to do what the rest of the world does, sell it himself.
I second the car insurance excuse, that would be pretty hilarious.

i traded for an ion months ago and it was working fine. great actually. was at the field an had to be crono'd as i had turned the pressure down at home for my 8yr old daughter. well the ref that was checking guns turned the damn thing up too much an it hit 300 on the gauge. started leaking after that. the leak was at the banjo fitting next to the qev. easy fix..... chances are the guy had cranked the pressure up on the reg trying to show off to friends an really maked it out......

He finally agreed to take the gun, I did tech it for him though. It was leaking from the banjo fitting and I just put some Teflon tape on there and it was good to go.
