New guns are awesome, but older guns shoot just fine and typically have upgrades. A SLS/ SL94 will perform amazing and won't be 1500 dollars. G6Rs can be had at under half that price, and are quality markers.
It all depends on how much value you place on a 1500 dollar paintball gun. If I had that money laying around I'd probably put a down payment on a car or pay college fees. Id like a 2.0 Luxe, but not for that much. Your personal skill is more of a limiting factor, not your Etek 3.
I would advise against spending 1500 dollars on a Luxe 2.0 at 14 years old. A used SLS/SL94/SL8R/Any ego above 07/G6R/DM9/10/11 can be had cheaper and will perform at your level and beyond for quite a while. The Luxe itself will probably treat you well if you choose that route.
