Tips, Tricks, Remembers and Nevers
Title is self explanatory. This actually going to be my first scenario paintball event (first time playing in 7 years! ), so I'd love to hear some wisdom from scenario buffs or from people that have attended DoN before.
Post any and all advice you guys have!

I will probably add more to this, but off the top of my head:
hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
Thankfully it will be in October, but regardless, players need to start hydrating at least the week before the event! If you start drinking water the day of, you're basically just letting the water pass thru you. Also, try and stay away from the carbonated and caffeinated stuff, like to red bull, monster and rockstar. They actually help dehydrate you! Diluted Gatorade or G2 throughout the weekend doesn't hurt either.
Get some stretching in before starting and take your time. If it has been awhile or you're not in the best shape, this would probably help, so you don't feel like you got ran over by a truck at the end of the day! lol

I haven't been to this even specifically, but I can definitely give my 'outdoorsman' input:
EVERYONE will mention this, HAVE PLENTY OF WATER!!! STAY HYDRATED!
I would bring some snacks (Beef Jerky, Crackers etc.) to munch on during the games.
SUNSCREEN! Also, a hat or bandana.... just something to cover your head
If you plan on camping, BRING YOUR OWN SHADE!

Don't eat large meals. Small meals and stay away from heavy fat snacks. Jerky, trail mix are great. Don't drink straight power aid or gator aid, mix it 40/60 with water. This will do your body better.

Obviously you got your normal outdoor preparation to do like hydration and so forth, but be prepared for game items too.
Decay of Nations is not a woodsball event, but their is a lot of that happening.
It is not a "Big Game" but there will be close to a thousand on hand.
It is not speedball, but ropes of paint will be flying.
This is a Scenario event. Anything that you can think if to do in paintball, gets done here.
Milsim style mission, with guys in robot suits running a muck, snipers playing tag with a guys who shoot 16 bps. This is anything but a walk on game. This is Big Ball, and I don't know about you, but I love it!

gatorade, if you become too hot and sweat too much water alone will not be able to replenish you, so a small bottle of gatorade would be great to bring, along with the water.

Never argue with the referees. They may be wrong sometimes, but respawn is only a few mins away no matter how far you are.
Any real problems, take to Mission Command by the ticket booth.

The Grey Knights are known to bring their Mech suits for use at Decay of Nations.

1 of at least 3 ways:
1. buy one
2. build one
3. borrow or rent from a player/team that has them

So I found the mech suits from the pic thread. One of the things I love about scenario games is the creative costumes and vehicles people come up with.
So do the mech suits play under tank rules or are they live players like everyone else?

They are treated as a sort of light tank. One hit from a LAW or other anti-tank device will eliminate them. Grenades hit in then work a little differently, but they do slow them down. They can use any weapons a tank can and go places tanks can't.
Sometimes they carry hand to hand weapons, but they use then the same way a player would barrel tag another player (but they are the only one that can use their hand to hand weapons as anti-tank weapons.)
In a nut shell, can be scary to fight against without A.T.
But they tire out because of the extra gear they carry.
Most players wait them out.
Everything else can be found in the rules section of the event.

Thanks. I'll be sure to check that out.
I bet it would be exhausting to move about inside a giant wood box.
