Nt10 Eye pipe question!!!???

Would an eye pipe out of the DM8,9,10 medium parts kit fit in an nt10? Ive noticed the only difference is an oring on the end of the broken one in my nt and have the parts kit. It fits fine, just wondering if it will work the same.

Note: I have no air otherwise I'd dry fire it and see.

Thanks for your help guys!!!

I think it might, I saw a video on YouTube that sanded down the nt eye pipe so it was equivalent to a dm eye pipe and he said it worked fine, search "nt11 mod" on YouTube.

I think the NT eye pipe is "longer". Using a shorter (DM) eyepipe will leave a gap between the eye pipe and barrel, and result in the eyepipe moving, possibly with chopping etc.

You can use the shorter DM eyepipe if you use a Dye back withouth the oring on the back of it. The back without the oring goes inside enought to prevent the eyepipe from moving.

Ive been using the DM eyepipe for a few weeks without any problem. All I had to do was to remove the oring of the back.

I've been using the dm9 eye pipe from my DM9/10 parts kit and it's been working great, maybe even a bit better than the updated NT pipe because those keep cracking on me.

if you kept cracking the nt eye pipe and your not cracking the dm ones. you obviously were over tighting your barrel.

If I'm not mistaken all you need to do to prevent them from cracking is put an o-ring on your barrel and not tighten the hell out of it correct?

On my NT the o-ring on the barrel does nothing. The back of the barrel contacts the eye pipe before the o-ring contacts the threading. Even 2 o-rings or a fat bumper o-ring won't do it. Not sure if it's just the way my parts were machined or all NTs.

When you tighten the barrel just make sure it's finger tight. Use your middle, index and thumb to twist, don't grip it with your palm.
