Find a piece of round strong pipe. Anything round and solid for that matter. Place it inside the barrel on the dented spot(not all the way through the barrel just enough to cover the dent). Then lay it down on a stable surface and put your weight on it. You may need to use a hammer but you need a really solid surface. You should be able to bend it back out using the round pipe as a form. Don't worry about minor scratches the tip doesn't really touch the paint in the barrel anyway. Not usually.
