Stick with ultralite or not?
Hey guys I wanted some input on whether to stick with my dm6s ultralite or get a deadly winds freak kit barrel kit. Is there a big enough improvement in accuracy to justify buying it?
Any input is greatly appreciated!

UL has one of the best bore finishes out there. But having different bore sizes helps get the best efficiency and consistency with different paint.
Personally I'd just pick up a .684 UL back to go with the stock .688 and call it a day.

That is another thought that I had, but I have two dm6s one faded silver to black and the other a dust blue. I only have one ultralite and it matchs the dust blue gun. I thought that it might be beneficial to pick up the dw barrel with the freak inserts instead of tracking down another used ultralite and use it for both guns.

Don't, they make guns louder. Just pick up a .84 like speedy said.

the difference is so negligible that it's stupid to discuss, imho.
The Deadlywind barrel is ok. I had 3 of them. I love them for being light and durable and that I don't have to worry about marring the anodize (Since it has none) and that it's closer to matching more of my guns than most barrels.
The gripe is that Freak inserts aren't always so kind.
Aluminum ones are ****ty.
Stainless steel and brass are pretty costly, but are well worth it.
It also is crazy light compared to anything, especially a hefty UL barrel.
Considered other barrels, though?
Like a Disruptive, Critical, TAP GnB, or LAPCO DE Kit/Barrel?
Those are better than a UL or DW by far.

I had my UL bored out for freak inserts. I wasn't really too pleased with it. It worked great, but I didn't like the aluminum inserts. I barely dropped one and it had a small "dent" on it. I don't know how much it would have effected the performance, but it couldn't have helped. And if you're gonna get it bored out, make sure you have a large bore back to start with, like a .692.
I say just stick with the UL man. Get a .688, .684, and maybe a .680 and you're set for pretty much anything.

honestly...
a barrel is a barrel is a barrel
the performance difference you see is almost negligible.

deadly winds barrels are light... I have 2 of them and liked each one. 14inch is ideal! VERY VERY VERY LIGHT and I thought it actually made it more quiet.
