Nike air sharks are great

Any problems with your ankle after switching to the football cleats? I'm still pretty leery on getting some. I really want something that will work great on rocks/gravel, hard packed dirt and clay, wet grass, environments like that. After my accident, I never really healed. It's been nearly 3 years and it still gives me fits on loose footing.

A cleat will never work on gravel or rocks. For woodsball I would say wearing cleats is asking for trouble. Definitely right foot wear for the environment. That even goes for the type of surface your on. Wearing track cleats made for clay probably won't work well on turf.

I like my Nike tiempo 4 turf. Pretty fast for a turf soccer cleat.

I agree, cleats on gravel isn't great. That's why I was asking for a high top almost boot sort of cleat to help solve that ankle support problem. I'm not looking for anything with huge spikes, just some good added traction that boots do not give.

Just a thought but has anyone ever had a boot resoled? Thinking that may be a viable route to try.

great suggestions in here.
i've been using some lower-end nike soccer cleats I got on clearance, but i'm thinking about picking up a higher ankle cleat, like football or lacrosse.

Land shark mids. higher boot is always better to protect ankles from rolls and lighter than combat boots in the woods!

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm going to want something higher with less aggressive cleats.

Like the guy above said, brawlers and highlights fball cleats both have great ankle support. No idea how much they cost, though.

Thanks. They look like they have GREAT ankle support but the cleats are way too large for what I overall am looking for.

I'd like some good cleats too. Why don't you want to use them for a woods game?

I can easily visualize myself landing wrong on a tree limb or patch of loose rocks and eating it. The boots I wear work great for preventing this type of epic failure. I just need something with better traction. I am leaning towards simply having my jump boots resoled as it will probably be easier and cheaper in the long run than finding cleats that match my wants.
