old all american vs new freak barrel

hey guys
i have an older all american tip (5-6 years old) now when i look at the new freak tips... they seem to have more porting... the porting going through the whole tip (spiral) where as my older one only has spiral porting half way.

this true?

My all american tip is one of the original style I believe and it has the spiral porting the entire length of the tip.

That's not an All American tip, if I remember correctly that is called the Tear Drop.

That's a teardrop tip. They'll give you more of a drop at the end of your shot than the AA tip will. Awesome barrel for dropping shots in on a guy in snake or into a bunker in the woods.

Why would these barrels give more of a drop at the end of your shot??

Yes they a loud compared to a AA tip. I have both and never noticed any drop off from one to another. But the Teardrop tips are easier to shoot through a break with less porting to collect paint. So they kinda are equal. Just depends if you want quiet or easy to shoot after a break.
