I read his book a few months ago, it was excellent!
awesome Grazi! Tigers in the mud was a great bookand historical account. the best had to be when they shot down the soviet fighterplane with the tigers 88. or when they nailed the russian commisar crossing that field with the 88 hahah

I have a problem with this new line of thinking... Say for argument sakes the French were allowed to have say ONLY 100 players max, AND were only allowed a limited number of electro and mech semi, the rest would have to play pump....
Well I love playing pump! I would be so torn in which entity to play for!!! Curse you all !!!

But maybe with additional friendly faces on the French side we could eliminate the panic shooting.
This was my first ION and simply enjoyed playing French. When I was running a marker for most of the event it was my T2. Did grab the Etek for the final battle just so I could burn through the rest of that crappy paint. But for most of the day on Sunday all I did was run around with just my Metadyne. Of course that was the role I was playing for the French was the that of the Crazy Anti Tanker. Had alot of fun didn't get shot up too bad since I was mostly playing for one side or the other.

Thanks to the current conversation, I had a dream last night that the French got scolded by Paul Fogal for bringing real firearms on the field. "Butttt Paullll, it's more realistic!!"

Kill boxes on tanks. Hmmm! I can see the point of them at a small field or a game where there are not to many launchers. The crunchies do have to have a way to take us out to make it somewhat fair to them. I would say my tank was a victim at a West Point game kill box rule sometime back when it seemed liked the guys shooting fully auto didnt shoot that much at the box. But surely painted almost my tank with bright green paint. But I would prefer being taken out by a kill box then grenades. But you know when you go to a game. Play by their field rules and accept whats coming at you. Until there is a national standardization on whats required to take a tank out is implemented and all fields comply. We will just have to take it and move on.

the worst thing is yu would NEVER be able to use a tank to break through the enemy lines. every idiot on the field will have the capability to take us out. there would be no reason to bring a tank and it would offer far less offesnsive ability

Maybe not one of the trilogy games BUT, def create a pump only big game played on the back fields, tippmann city/ castle and empire castle! Just one big BIG PUMP GAME!!!!!

There are pump games out there, especially at EMR. Pumpers Pandemonium, and now I believe they're doing a Pump iteration of Castle Conquest.
I'm not sure Skirmish would be interested in pumper scenarios.

A few of us played the pumped castle back in may I think- best game ever!!!!,
But instead of scenario, just do pumped big game, with flag stations for points, make simple, but def pump only. But hey never know , may e skirmish might be game for something like this.

OXCC is putting on a rec pump game in August. Who knows, it could take off to at least a one day event. I'd be down for a pump scenario/big game sometime.

I also allowed rental guns to play, since a few newbies were having a bad day on the regular field and everyone was cool with it.
People who have entered the field of battle countless times in tanks and robotic armor are nostalgically pining for pump games!? Are you sh****ng me?
I want more full-auto games! We need air-borne paintball platforms people! And I want cheap, massed-produced, styro-foam pods that I can thoughtlessly discard in the woods. I want O2 tanks banned and Co2 the mandatory gas of all paintball games going forward.
Oh...and those totally green compound bows that shoot paintballs without any gas at all should be outlawed and their owners forced to listen to R.E.O. Speedwagon Classic Hits for like 8 hours!
