I'm receive a broken prophecy (snapped feedneck) as part of a trade. The Z2's seem like a pretty darn good hopper. Can I convert the prophecy to a Z2 by using a 3-piece shell kit?

If not, what parts are required to go from the brittle shells to the new Z2 style?

The Backbone or floor plate, and the shells. I believe that's all you need to do.

Do you want to just use Z2 shells with the older internals? Just not clear on how far you want to go to a Z2, or if it can even be done.

You cant really convert it to a Z2, the Z2 is a different loader. There is a way though you can convert the shells to Z2 shells, although I dont know why you would want to do that.

All it sounds like you need is either a combination of these or all of them: back right shell, back left shell, front nose, and feedneck insert. You will have to figure it out or send use a picture to figure out what pieces you will need.

You're better off just getting a Z2 than buying Z2 shells and using Prophecy (V1/V2) internals.

No it's not LOL. I don't think most people understood what I was saying. I got a broken prophecy in a trade and I was trying to figure out what I could do with it. It looks like all I can do is replace the shells and keep it as a back up because they don't go for much used.

you dont need z2 shells, backplate or most of that stuff. the only part you need is the z2 backbone, then dremel your existing broken prophecy shell so that the feedneck on the z2 backbone can protrude through the modified v1/2 shell.

I'm going to post a walkthrough on how to do it as well as other mods to fix common prophecy issues.

Im anxiously waitling for this. I would love a stronger feedneck cause mine starting to have a line of crack on the front shell.

If all you want to do is use your broken shells the backbone will suffice. The OP wanted to use Z2 shells which has been a commonly asked question by Prophecy users. That's what the video covers.
