My cousin bought a brand new ninja pro tank sitting on 6,000 psi without any air, anyone would know if this would be a problem if he airs it up? Would it reset if he does? We've tried contact ninja and ans but heard nothing from them. Any ideas would help. Thanks.

So it reads 6 psi even when you can by hand depress the pin? IMO shouldn't be a problem. The gauge uses a spring, sometimes they font read a true 0, but with high pressure reads properly.

I just got word from ninja and most likely it will reset once he airs it up.

Looks like you might have tried contacting us after hours? That could be why noone has contacted you back yet. Call me at 877-646-5287 x309 and i'll help you out. We're open Mon-Fri from 9am-5:15pm CST.

Yes, your regulator is fine. If there is any pressure inside, its from when we tested the regulator prior to it leaving the factory. At least now you know we actually do test every single regulator before it leaves. If you want, you can depress the pin valve on the top of the regulator to allow the 6psi to escape before you work on it.

I am just curious, and not to say anything bad about anyone or anything, how do you know that there is 6 PSI in the tank? Unless the gauges are huge and show numbers that low, how would you know that 6 PSI is actually in the bottle?

I was mistaken I meant 6,000 psi it's sitting on 6 on the gauge.
