seems to me its pretty obvious hank will get suspicious about walt, but I think that part comes to a head next summer.

I think the season will pick up and be great. Every AMC show seems to drag out drama in the first couple episodes, before things take off.

I'm not worried about it because it started kinda slow, I expected that, I just think after the epicness of season 4, they are going to try too hard to live up to it and end up with a muddled story. With one season left, now would have been a good time to pick one direction to send the show in and start developing it. Instead, they are still pulling the story 20 different ways and with only a limited amount of episodes left, I fear the story ends up feeling rushed and they aren't going to develop a lot of stuff.

ive liked this season so far and season 4 dragged a lot mroe than any of the other seasons from episode 2 till like the second or 3rd last episode. i really liked season 4 but it was easily the most action sparse (not that it is a bad thing). i think s2 or s3 were my favorites (probably s3)

Did anyone else have Harvey Dent running thru the mind when Gus got punk'd by Walt? I thought for sure he was going to pull a Two-face on Walt's family when he handled that blast like a champ for as long as he did until he was reported dead that is...hah.

Prediction - Season 5: Hank and Walt will confront one another, just seems inevitable at this point. At which point, Walt will knock Hank out for several hours by hitting him over the head with one of his "rocks" upon screaming I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS....WITH ROCKS!!!...haha. Jesse and/or Mike are both going to die or be caught this season in midst of Walt escaping. Mike (possibly Jesse too) will go down in an epic hail of gunfire between some huge SWAT team or something while they are hiding out after Ted unravels everything. Judging from Episode 1 - Looks like Walt is looking to take a big group down with that machine gun after getting across the border.

Can't wait to see what happens.

the "2 face" thing was kind of the point. gus appears to be a pillar in the community yet his otherside is a murdering drug lord.

EVERYTHING in this show is done for a reason, even down to the smallest detail. look up the movie mike was watching in the last episode if you want to know what i mean.

Solid point. I thought that's what they were hinting at, but wasn't completely sure. Tried to watch episode 2, but my DirecTV messed up the sound on the recording and is unwatchable....sigh.

i liked the meth synth sequence with a bit of the Requiem for a Dream camera stuff.

Walt is becoming pretty easy to dislike. his greed and power hunger is getting way out of hand.

Yea, Walt is definitely becoming a douchebag. While I understand why he planted the seed that made Jesse break up with his girl, it was still a dick move. Especially since he kiled the last girl Jesse really cared about. Then there is the whole money thing you mentioned. I think the Scarface scenes in this past episode are a bit of foreshadowing to how Walt's character arch is going to ultimately play out. He may not go out in a huge shootout but it's pretty clear he's going to meet a violent end.

im thinking the cancer is back, hence why he's so eager.

Also, what do you think the chances are that they kill off that ***** skylar? her character is just horrible.

I honestly think that he is just revealing himself to be a sociopath, and winning his war with Gus has just tipped him over the edge. I can see Walt killing Skyler, it wouldn't surprise me at this point. I think his attachment to her is less because he actually loves her at this point, and more because he sees her as "his". If she does something drastic to threaten revealing his illegal activities he'll eliminate her if he doesn't see another way out of it. He may feel conflicted before he does it, but at this point he's only out for himself so I think he'd ultimately do it.

yea, but i thought of this show as more of a "the lengths people will go to" kinda thing more than a "look how ****ed up an everyday bro can be" kinda thing.

That's what it started out as, but the end of last season and the beginning of this one makes me think it's taking a turn toward the sinister. It's very possible that it'll turn around again and Walt will have some redemption before the end, sort of like Tony Montana not blowing up the car with the family in it, but going by what I know now, it feels like Walt is now the villain instead of the anti-hero.

yea you could be right. Its like a trend these days to break conventional expectations. and critics eat that **** up too.

Maybe Walt catches her trying to commit suicide again and he lets her do it as he knows she is a liability.
