This wasn't my game, but just going to try to explain a few things from a refs stand point and a producers view on the above being discussed.
After saturday two larger teams were moved over to red to try to help balance the game out. This seemed to work for part of the day sunday until green used a very strategic and very thought out air strike to an area that was heavily filled with red, after this happened is when red was pushed back to their spawn point.
Also red used a air strike that effectively removed alot of their own players from an area that left a easy move through for green that was just behind the area being airstriked.
A hot insertion occurs when a team can not get out of their base, on most of sunday some of red would break out towards the POW and get lit up and go back to their base and cry "hot insertion" while on the contrary others from red would go out towards the boats and realize they could push up through the boats all the way to the pirate ship. This is not a hot insertion, now im not saying this eventually did happen, but just saying if u were there at that point and was wondering why the other team wasn't pushed back it was because you didnt have a hot insertion.
Also for a long portion the boat field population of green players was non-existent and finally a couple guys (about 4) from Pub Crawling realized this and pushed all the way through the town with the four they had.
Trust me from a producers point of view it is MUCH easier to manage and deal with a evenly matched back and fourth game than one where one side is blown out, no one wishes to see this happen but it is much harder than you think to be able to figure out evenly matched games. As much can be done on paper to make things seem fair usually go totally the opposite of what you think in real life.
Also your comment about the numbers being down for this event with your opinion being because there has been some blow out games is far from that. The july event this year had more players in attendance than our previous years event in the same month and we are on pace for another record breaking year of attendances.
As a player that has played several different promoters and alot of different fields I can only think of a few events that were remotely close in score to each team.
Last year two out of the four events at FK were almost equally matched too btw.
