SEPTEMBER 22ND
The smoke cloud from the burning city of Trey’at rose and spread for miles, from space it all but covered the entire province and hid the raging infernos underneath from view. It was the sixteenth day of the liberation campaign being undertaken by the Imperial Guard to free the world of Calthius from the dark forces of Chaos. The battle had culminated in the planetary capital city of Trey’at a week ago, and the Chaos forces of the Blood Pact had destroyed the city in an attempt to keep the Guard from claiming it, and its extensive spaceport network, for themselves. The lines had melted and shifted to a point 6 miles to the south of the burning metropolis.
After the nuclear device had been detonated in the city center, Blood Pact forces that had been staging outside the blast zone advanced around the capital and began a push towards the Imperial staging point in the south of the province. They had been halted only a few miles from their objective as the Imperial forces regrouped and formed the new battle lines in the ruined city of Crie’tor.
Now the real fight had started, the Blood Pact will stop at nothing to push the Imperials to their landing zone and cut them off for slaughter. The Imperials, desperate to survive must keep the Blood Pact from achieving this. Imperial Command judges the planet of Calthius as having significant strategic value to the ongoing operations of the Sabbat Worlds Campaign.
Every inch of ground is vital, every enemy slain brings either side one step closer to victory. Who will you offer your allegiance to? Will you fight for the Imperium of Man and bring glory to the Emperor? Or will you let the twisted laughter of Warp gods tear your soul into the shreds of Chaos?
