2012 VICIOUS RaceTo Series - Press Release

For the 3rd event in the VICIOUS RaceTo Series, taking place at Xtreme Paintball Park in Millstadt, IL the following changes have been made by the event promoters and field owner in response to the current economic situation within the region. Both the event promoter and the field owner have chosen to reduce the cost of the paint. Prizes have been slightly adjusted to allow a smaller turnout. Both parties want the event to take place and to allow teams from the region to more easily participate.

Short version: The field and series have agreed to reduce the costs to cover their operating expenses. We all feel the Vicious Series is the one of the best PSP affiliate programs out there, and want everyone in the St. Louis region to be able to experience it. You love paintball, we love paintball, its that simple.

The event will still be Event Paint Only. Pricing for paint at the event will be as follows:

Empire Ultra Evil - $45/case
Empire Formula 13 - $40/case

As a result of this lowered paint pricing, the prize packages for each division have been reduced to reflect this change. They are:

Intermediate Division - D4 Raceto2 (Saturday)
----- 1st Place - $550 Cash, 10 cases of Ultra Evil Paintballs for use at a 2012 PSP Event**, a team trophy, and 8 medals
----- 2nd Place - $200 Cash and 8 medals
----- 3rd Place - $100 Cash and 8 medals
----- 4th Place – 8 medals

Premier Division - D3 RaceTo4 (Sunday)
Based on 7 or more teams:
----- 1st Place: $1,250 CASH, $1,300 credit towards entry fee for a 2012 PSP tournament, 30 cases of Ultra Evil Paintballs for use at a 2012 PSP event**, a team trophy, and 10 medals
----- 2nd Place: $600 Cash and 10 medals
----- 3rd Place: $200 Cash and 10 medals
----- 4th Place: 10 Medals

Based on 6 teams:
----- 1st Place: $750 CASH, $1,300 credit towards entry fee for a 2012 PSP tournament, 30 cases of Ultra Evil Paintballs for use at a 2012 PSP event**, team trophy, 10 medals
----- 2nd Place: $350 CASH, 10 medals
----- 3rd Place: $150 CASH, 10 medals
----- 4th Place: 10 medals

What's up on IDs for the event? Does everyone need one, even pit?

Yes, as in all of the other Vicious Series events, all players and stuff must have paid for either a 2012 VICIOUS Series or PSP membership card.

The cards are not printed, but all players and staff mush have paid for their ID card online.

It was just something the field owner did to make sure the event happened. I'd imagine we will go back to the prices from the first two events.

Exactly what AXHI said.

There were not a whole lot of teams signing up for event #3 so the owner decided to lower the prices, in hopes to attract teams.

Event #4 is the last event and people who want to win the series will have to be there(last event is double points). So I don't think they will have trouble getting people to sign up.
