Any one know what could be the issue with my barrel tip the coating on the inside of the barrel is wearing off and showing the brown material used. It still seems to be smooth and doesnt cause any issue so far just wondering if this could be a warranty issue or normal?? Barrel only used about 16 times over all and is only cleaned with light water and rubber flexible squeegee never abused or cleaned with chemicals. Thanks for any info

Nope never dropped,jammed,hit, struck anything with it. Like I said external is perfect 10/10 inside coating 4/10 just can't see how 10-12 cases of paint through it would do that to it but hey I dunno.

Where you play is it very dusty? Dust and dirt could be getting in then when a ball is fired through acts like sand paper. But you said it's still smooth so only thought would be maybe heat did something.
I would send an email or call to sly about it, especially if your the first owner.

I play at mostly grass covered fields so not much dust. Yea it still feels smooth to touch and doesn't hurt the paint what so ever. I sent an email last week to them I had to include receipt,pictures and info and haven't heard anything back from them yet. I'll post a pic up soon to show y'all what it looks like.

My front has nothing like that going on and it has seen quite a few games and a few core samples. Contact Sly/Valken and see what they say about it.

Just got the final word from SLY customer service. They said its just normal wear from normal use. Kinda odd when it doesnt have much use and only have used rubber squeegge to clean it and baby it but hey who knows I guess. They did advise thou they would hook me up with a great discount on a new barrel front of my choice SO that was the good thing from it all.

Thats from not wiping off broken paint etc same thing happen to mine i would play an not wipe down after play an week later mine was like even took off my paint on barrel that said Infamous in yellow.
