Anyways, didn't DerDer make that Soldiers of Misfortune video? Why is no one yelling at them publicly? Not that they should be penalized, of course. I own a few DerDer videos lol.
When I saw Yahoo news make mention of him having a poster "called Soldiers of Misfortune. With people posing with paintball guns, and some wearing masks!" I immediately emailed Der Der and Social Paintball about it.
Talk about grasping for threads. Such an obvious ratings move. Way to show how much you truly care for the incident and it's victims.
Media jumps on anything in order to get ratings. If people are too stupid or ignorant (or combination of both) to see that one person doesn't make a whole community, then there is nothing we can do about them except hope to show that we are a team building sport that thousands of normal people enjoy every weekend.

when you show interest in a sport thats main focus is shooting people, the general public tends to make these connections. someone who plays the sport knows better, but when a housewife browsing yahoo sees paintball in an article about the worst mass shooting in american history bad things are going to happen.
edit: and the fact the dvd is called soldiers of misfortune doesnt help either. another thing the casual reader wont look into and just draw conclusions about.
maryln manson wasnt responsible in any way for the shooting at columbine, but somehow he got his name dragged through the mud for it. This is no different

The real problem, is that although Colorado is a carry state, (permit to carry a concealed weapon is legal there), Cinemark doesnt allow any weapons in any of its establishments. Now this may seem like a good idea, and I see many people jumping on the "stricter gun laws" bandwagon, but the last 2 public shootings in Colorado, which were at the New Destiny Church, and the New Life Church, were both ended quickly because people in the crowd being fired upon were allowed to carry weapons and exercised this right. Both of the last shooters were killed by bystanders that were carrying, before they could take many innocent lives. The last massacre in colorado, (columbine), and the shooting at VA Tech were in zones where it was illegal to have a gun even with a CCW. Im not saying that I'm 100% sure things would have been different if the movie goers were allowed to carry, but it should be their right to protect themselves. The news should be attacking Cinemark for infringing on its Customers rights and creating a massacre out of a potentially avoidable event. Lets face it, someone willing to commit murder, isn't going to be too worried about breaking a few laws regarding where its legal to carry a weapon.
